Smart App Control and the Windows alpha
While the Windows alpha is unsigned, Smart App Control blocks parts of Voyager, so sign-in, the terminal and media tools may not work. A signed version is coming soon, and it will fix this.
How to check
Open Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control. Recent versions of Voyager also warn you on the welcome screen when it’s On.
If it’s On
To use Voyager now, turn Smart App Control off there. It can’t be turned off for just one app, and on some Windows versions turning it back on requires reinstalling Windows, so it’s your call. Reinstalling or updating Voyager doesn’t get around it.
If it’s in Evaluation mode
Voyager works today, but Windows may switch it on later, and parts of Voyager may then stop working until the signed version ships.
If sign-in fails
If sign-in fails with “Windows Smart App Control blocked Voyager’s credential storage component” or “Voyager’s credential storage component could not load” while Smart App Control is On, Smart App Control is the cause. If it’s Off or in Evaluation mode and sign-in still fails that way, an Application Control policy set by your organization may be blocking Voyager: ask your administrator whether Voyager can be allowed.
