Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 vs Gemini Omni Flash

Both versions ran the same nine prompts on fal: the original Gemini Omni Flash on 9 September 2026 and version 1.1, through its own v1.1 endpoints, on 22 October. Five seconds, 16:9, audio on (neither version can turn it off).

Which to use

Use 1.1. It is cheaper on fal at 720p, $0.10 a second against $0.13, adds a 360p draft tier at $0.03 and 1080p and 4K output, and on our prompts it was at least as good: both title lines spelled, a two-handed pour into a blooming paper filter, a dense market with the dog and the busker, and a woodblock storm with visible wood grain. Its waits, 31 to 60 seconds, are in line with version 1's 36 to 64. What did not change is the product habit: on the same handleless dripper photo, both versions grew a handle and filled it with coffee like a mug, and 1.1 added a handle to the turntable dripper too. Both also dropped a lightning strike into the woodblock storm. The original keeps a reference-to-video endpoint on fal that 1.1 does not list. One run per prompt is a first look, not a ranking.

The same 9 prompts, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 against Gemini Omni Flash

One try each, nothing re-rolled or retouched, generated by us. Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 is on the left, Gemini Omni Flash on the right. Every prompt has its own page with the whole roster.

Version 1 cut to a close-up of the dripper's ribs and back; 1.1 holds one shot but grows a handle as it turns.

›What we asked for

A matte black ceramic pour-over coffee dripper rotating slowly on a white turntable, soft studio light, seamless white background, product video, no text.

›What we asked for

A woman in her 40s with short grey hair stands in a bright kitchen, looks at the camera and says 'Good morning, the coffee is ready', natural window light, handheld feel, she smiles at the end.

›What we asked for

A title card reading 'MODA SUMMER SESSIONS' animates in over slow-motion footage of a festival crowd at dusk, then a smaller line 'Friday 12 June' fades in beneath it. Bold condensed type, tangerine on navy.

›What we asked for

Drone shot pushing slowly forward over a coastal town at sunrise, terracotta roofs, fishing boats in the harbour, long shadows, cinematic and steady.

1.1's water pools convincingly, but its three ice cubes become six by the end.

›What we asked for

A glass of water tips over on a wooden table and spills in slow motion, water and three ice cubes sliding across the wood, macro lens, morning light.

›What we asked for

Close-up of hands pouring hot water from a gooseneck kettle in slow circles into a pour-over coffee dripper, steam rising, shallow depth of field, warm cafe light.

›What we asked for

A crowded Saturday farmers market seen from slightly above, shoppers with tote bags, a dog on a leash, a busker with a guitar, bunting swaying, late morning light, gentle camera drift.

Both put an unrequested lightning strike into the woodblock storm. 1.1 adds visible wood grain to the sky.

›What we asked for

A lighthouse on a rocky cliff in a storm, in the style of a Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print, waves crashing in flat colour with visible wood grain, animated like moving paper cutouts.

Same miss in both versions: the handleless dripper grows a handle and fills with coffee like a cup.

›What we asked for

The coffee dripper slowly fills as coffee drips through it, steam rising, the camera drifting gently around it, the dripper itself unchanged.
