About Voyager

What is Voyager?

Voyager is a desktop app where an AI agent does creative work on your computer. It drives the creative apps you already have, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, generates images, video, voice and music with current AI models, and edits the results into finished work in its own Voyager Design, Voyager Video and Voyager DAW engines or in your apps. You describe the outcome and give feedback; the agent picks the tools and does the steps. Voyager is made by Nullframe, Inc., the company behind Moda.

What is an agent harness?

An agent harness is the software around an AI model that gives it tools, files, memory and a place to work. Claude Code and Codex are harnesses built for writing code. Voyager is a harness built for creative work: skills for editing, design, motion, sound and generation, previews of the work beside the conversation, and memory that learns how you like things done.

Who is Voyager for?

Voyager is for people who make video, design, motion and sound and want an agent to do the production work: creators, editors, motion designers, marketers and small studios. You need no technical setup to start, and if you already work in Claude Code or Codex, Voyager adds its creative skills there too.

How is Voyager different from AI video generators like Higgsfield or OpenArt?

A generator app gives you a prompt box and a gallery of clips. Voyager gives an agent the whole production: it generates clips with the same kinds of models, then cuts, captions, scores and finishes them in a real editor, and the project stays editable. Generation is charged at what the model provider charges, with no markup, and if you already pay for Higgsfield, Voyager can generate on your Higgsfield plan. Compare Voyager and Higgsfield.

Is Voyager open source?

Not right now. The Voyager app is proprietary software from Nullframe. It is open in what it works with: you choose the agent, the models and the apps, and you can add your own skills and connect your own tools.

Apps and engines

Which creative apps can Voyager control?

Voyager’s agent works in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Blender, Unity and Ableton Live, with your own licences. Its skills also cover Cinema 4D, Houdini, REAPER, Descript, OBS, Kdenlive and Shotcut, and code-based motion tools such as Remotion and Manim. Live control of the Adobe apps runs on macOS today.

How does the agent control my apps?

Through each app’s own scripting wherever it can: Photoshop scripting, a local bridge for Premiere Pro, scripts for After Effects and Illustrator, and Resolve’s scripting API. For the few controls an app does not expose, the agent can operate the app window directly, within the macOS permissions you grant. Your project files stay ordinary, editable files in the app.

Do I need Adobe Creative Cloud to use Voyager?

No. Voyager comes with its own Voyager Design, Voyager Video and Voyager DAW engines, free with the app, which cover design, motion, editing and music. If you already have Adobe apps or DaVinci Resolve, the agent drives those too.

What are Voyager Design, Voyager Video and Voyager DAW?

They are Voyager’s own creative engines, built for its agent and free with the app. They run on your machine, with no watermark and no project limits. Design: vector, raster and paint layers, layout, decks with PPTX, and motion graphics with keyframes. Exports PNG, SVG, PDF, PSD, Lottie and ProRes 4444 with alpha. Video: timeline, multicam, colour and keys. Hands off to Resolve and Premiere as OTIO, FCPXML or EDL, and delivers H.264, HEVC, ProRes and DNxHR. DAW: arranging, instruments, VST3 plug-ins, mixing and mastering to loudness targets, stems and MIDI export, and scoring to picture: cues from a video’s cuts and ducking under voice-over.

How does Voyager DAW compare with Ableton Live or Logic Pro?

Voyager DAW does most of what you would do in Ableton Live or Logic Pro, from arranging and recording to mixing and mastering, and the rest is on the way. It doesn’t have sampled orchestral instruments yet. If you already use Ableton Live or REAPER, the agent can work there instead.

Does Voyager work with the free version of DaVinci Resolve?

Yes. With DaVinci Resolve Studio, the agent edits through Resolve’s scripting. With the free DaVinci Resolve, it builds the cut, brings it into Resolve and finishes it there: titles, transitions, framing, audio levels, grades, captions and the render.

Agents

Can I use my own Claude or ChatGPT subscription?

Yes. Connect Claude, Codex (with your ChatGPT sign-in), Voyager’s own agent or API models in Settings, then Accounts. Claude and Codex run on their official runtimes with your existing sign-ins, and Voyager never bills your Claude or ChatGPT subscription.

Can I use Voyager from Claude Code or Codex?

Yes. Install the Voyager plugin and the same creative skills and command-line tools work inside Claude Code or Codex. Generation and editing run without the Voyager window; screen recording and computer control use the Voyager desktop app on a Mac.

Does Voyager support MCP servers?

Yes. Add any MCP server in Settings, then Integrations, with an HTTPS URL and no sign-in, a browser sign-in (OAuth) or a bearer token, or as a local command. Turn each one on for all projects or only some. For a service without an MCP server, Voyager can build a connector from the service’s API docs.

What are skills, and can I add my own?

A skill is a set of instructions and tools for one kind of job, such as editing in Premiere Pro, making a social loop or recording a voiceover. Voyager ships about 40 and picks the right one for each task. You can save your own, reuse them across projects, and Voyager also finds the skills you installed for Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

Models and generation

Which AI models does Voyager use?

Current image, video, voice and music models, including Veo 3.1, Seedance, Kling 3.0, MiniMax H3, Wan, LTX, Nano Banana, GPT Image 2.0, FLUX.2, Seedream, Recraft and ElevenLabs. The agent picks a model for each step unless you name one. Browse the model reference, with our own sample outputs for each model.

Can I use my own model API keys?

Yes. Add your own keys for fal, Google (Gemini), ElevenLabs or Higgsfield in Settings, or sign in with Higgsfield to use your Higgsfield plan’s credits. Voyager then generates with them without a Voyager plan, and the provider bills you directly. You choose the order Voyager tries your connections in, and each generation records which one paid for it.

Can I generate videos of real people?

Only with permission and approval. Voyager-managed generation of real people’s faces needs an Ultra or GigaMax™ plan and our separate written approval, and you must have the person’s express, informed permission. Email support@voyager.so to request access. Read the likeness rules.

Pricing and credits

Is Voyager free?

Yes, Voyager is free to download and use with your own agent and model keys. Paid plans, from $19 a month, add generation with every model on one bill, cloud rendering and more parallel generations. See the pricing page.

How much does a generation cost?

Exactly what the model provider charges, in credits worth 1¢ each, with no markup. An 8-second MiniMax H3 clip with audio is 48 credits and an 8-second Seedance 2.5 clip about 277. Every model’s rate is on the pricing page.

Which model does Voyager’s own agent use?

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash by default, on every plan. Creator and higher plans add models such as GPT-6.1 Sol and Claude Sonnet 5.5. You can also use your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription instead.

What if I run out of credits?

Buy a credit pack at 1.1¢ a credit, or turn on auto-reload. Billing is prepaid, so you are never charged beyond what you buy. Monthly credits reset each month; pack credits last 12 months. The pricing page has the details.

Does Voyager have team or Enterprise plans?

Yes. Plans are per seat and credits pool across a workspace. A Team plan with shared projects and admin roles is coming soon, and Enterprise, with SSO and admin spend controls, is available now: email support@voyager.so.

Ownership and commercial use

Do I own what I make with Voyager?

Yes. Between you and Nullframe, you own what Voyager generates for you, and you keep your rights in everything you bring. Model providers’ own terms still apply, and someone else may get a similar result from a similar prompt. Read the terms on your content.

Can I use Voyager output commercially?

Yes, as far as your rights in what you put in, the law and the model provider’s licence allow. A plan does not give you rights to someone else’s likeness, voice, work or trademark.

Does Voyager add a watermark?

No. Voyager adds no watermark to anything you make. Some model providers add their own provenance labels to generated media, and our terms ask you to leave those in place.

Privacy and data

Does Voyager upload my files?

No, not wholesale. Projects, conversations and generated files stay on your computer, and installing Voyager uploads nothing by itself. When a task needs a model, the agent sends that provider the files and context the task uses, so review what the agent can reach. Read the privacy policy.

What does the desktop app report back?

Usage statistics, such as features used, outcomes and sanitized errors, linked to your account. They are on by default and you can turn them off in Settings, then Privacy. Support bundles are sent only when you choose to, after you review them. Read what is collected.

Platforms and requirements

What are the system requirements?

A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) on macOS 15 or later; Intel Macs are not supported yet. Windows 11 (x64) and Linux (x64, AppImage or .deb) builds are in alpha, with the Windows general release coming very soon. Mobile apps are coming soon too. Download the latest release.

What should I know about the Windows version?

It is an alpha for now, with the general release coming very soon. Until then the installer is not signed, so SmartScreen may warn you: choose More info, then Run anyway. Some built-in creative tools are off by default on Windows, live control of the Adobe apps is macOS-only for now, and Smart App Control can block parts of the app. Check Smart App Control.

How does Voyager update?

On Mac and Windows, updates download automatically and install the next time you restart Voyager; you can switch to manual downloads in Settings, then About. The Linux alpha has no in-app updates yet, so download each new version from the release page.

Account and support

How do I get help?

Chat with us from the Help link on any page, email support@voyager.so, or ask the community on Discord. In the app, Get help sends a support bundle you can review first.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel from your billing dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and uninstalling Voyager does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Payments are generally non-refundable, except where the law or your order says otherwise. If you were billed in error or a generation failed, email support@voyager.so and we will look into it. Read the billing terms.

How do I delete my account?

Ask support, in the chat or at support@voyager.so. Deleting your account does not erase the projects and files on your computer, and cancelling a subscription is a separate step.
