Voyager vs Higgsfield
Higgsfield is a web app that generates AI video and images on credits. Voyager is a desktop AI agent that generates with many of the same models, then finishes the work in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Blender, Ableton Live or its own design, video and music editors, and hands back an editable project.
Choose Voyager if
- The work has to end up edited, scored and finished, not just generated.
- You want the agent working in your own apps, with projects you can keep editing.
- You want every generation priced from a published rate, or on keys and plans you already pay for.
Choose Higgsfield if
- You want to generate in a browser or on your phone, with nothing to install.
- You direct with presets: Cinema Studio cameras and lenses, or Soul for fashion stills.
- You make many short clips on the website and an Unlimited window covers them.

A web generator, or an agent on your computer.
What is Voyager?
Voyager is a desktop app for macOS, with Windows and Linux in alpha. Its agent, or your own Claude Code or Codex, generates with cloud models when a step needs one, then carries on in the software where the project lives, including Voyager’s own Design, Video and DAW editors, so the result stays a layered, editable project.
What is Higgsfield?
Higgsfield sells one subscription to about a dozen third-party video and image models, plus its own: Soul for stills, Cinema Studio for camera and lighting control, Popcorn for storyboards and Marketing Studio for product ads. Each generation comes back as a rendered file in your browser.

Finished work
It finishes the piece, not just the clips.
Higgsfield’s job ends when a clip renders. Extend, regional edits and relighting rework that clip inside Higgsfield, and it leaves as footage. Cutting it into a sequence, scoring it and adding titles happens in another app.
Voyager’s agent keeps going. In the recording below, one prompt asks for a 45-second original dark synth score for a launch video. The agent writes the synths, a bass line and a taiko kit as code in Voyager DAW, arranges 12 tracks across six sections with tempo ramps, places impacts on the peaks, and renders stems mastered to -16 LUFS. The motion graphics come from Voyager Design. No image, video or music generation model was used, and the result is a project you can open and change, not a flat file.
On Higgsfield
Higgsfield has no timeline editor or music workstation, so a multi-shot edit with a mix is assembled elsewhere. (How to use Cinema Studio, read )
Your apps
It works in the apps you already use.
Voyager’s agent operates the creative software on your computer, with your own licences: it builds layers in Photoshop, cuts in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, animates in After Effects and lays out scenes in Blender. The shot lands on your timeline and the still lands in your layered file, ready for you or a colleague to take over.
If you don’t own those apps, Voyager’s own Design, Video and DAW editors come with it, free, and export PSD, SVG, Lottie, OTIO, FCPXML, stems and MIDI so the work can still move to them later.
Photoshop
Illustrator
After Effects
Premiere Pro
DaVinci Resolve
Final Cut ProBlender
Unity
Ableton Live
- + many more
Voyager Design
Vector, raster and paint layers, layout, decks with PPTX, and motion graphics with keyframes. Exports PNG, SVG, PDF, PSD, Lottie and ProRes 4444 with alpha.
Voyager Video
Timeline, multicam, colour and keys. Hands off to Resolve and Premiere as OTIO, FCPXML or EDL, and delivers H.264, HEVC, ProRes and DNxHR.
Voyager DAW
Arranging, instruments, VST3 plug-ins, mixing and mastering to loudness targets, stems and MIDI export, and scoring to picture: cues from a video’s cuts and ducking under voice-over.
You bring your own licences. Live control of the Adobe apps runs on macOS today. Voyager DAW does most of what you would do in Ableton Live or Logic Pro, from arranging and recording to mixing and mastering, and the rest is on the way. It doesn’t have sampled orchestral instruments yet. Trademarks belong to their owners; Voyager isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by them.
On Higgsfield
Higgsfield reaches into editors too: its plugins add generation, reframing, upscaling and background removal to Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, Figma and Blender, and AI Motion Designer builds editable titles in After Effects and Premiere Pro. The plugins bring Higgsfield’s generations into the app; Voyager’s agent works the app itself. (External integrations, read ; AI Motion Designer, read )
Your accounts
Same models, on the accounts you already pay for.
A model is the same model wherever it runs, so Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0 gives the same quality on either product. What Voyager adds is choice of who pays. Sign in with Higgsfield and Voyager generates on your Higgsfield plan’s credits; Higgsfield is first in Voyager’s default provider order, so a plan you already pay for is spent first. Add your own fal, Google, ElevenLabs or Higgsfield API keys, or use a Voyager plan, and set the order Voyager tries them in. Each generation records which account paid for it.
The agent is your choice too: Voyager’s own, or Claude Code or Codex on the Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already have, at no charge from Voyager.
On both
Only on Higgsfield
Soul 2.0 for fashion and editorial stills, with Moodboards and Soul ID characters. (How to use Soul, read )
Cinema Studio’s camera bodies, lenses and movement presets, Popcorn storyboards and the DoP camera-move model. (How to use Cinema Studio, read ; How to use Popcorn, read )
On Higgsfield
Unlimited windows apply only on higgsfield.ai, so generations Voyager runs on a Higgsfield plan spend credits. A paid Higgsfield plan is needed to connect.
Pricing
Every rate published, at what the provider charges.
How Voyager charges
A credit is 1¢ of what the model’s provider charges, with no markup on any plan; where Voyager gets a lower rate, so do you.
Every model’s rate is published, so a generation’s cost is known before you run it.
With your own model keys and your own Claude or ChatGPT, the app costs nothing.
How Higgsfield charges
Higgsfield sets a credit price per model and setting; the cost shows on the Generate button before you confirm. (Higgsfield pricing, read ; How credits work, read )
Unlimited windows on listed models apply on higgsfield.ai only, in the standard queue. Plugins, MCP and Supercomputer always bill credits. (What are Unlimited models, read ; External integrations, read )
Plan credits expire each cycle; packs last 90 days. (How credits work, read )

Where Higgsfield wins
When Higgsfield is the better pick.
Nothing to install
Higgsfield runs in any browser, on a desktop or a phone. If you can’t install software, or want to generate from your phone today, it is the simpler choice.
Directing with presets
Cinema Studio’s cameras, lenses and movements, Popcorn storyboards and the Soul image model are Higgsfield’s own and have no direct equivalent in Voyager. (How to use Cinema Studio, read ; How to use Soul, read )
Unlimited windows
On Plus and Ultra, listed models cost no credits for a set window on the website. If you make many short clips with those models, that can beat any per-generation price. (What are Unlimited models, read )

FAQ
Questions, answered.
More about Voyager in the FAQ and on the pricing page.
How we checked
Higgsfield’s plans and credit costs were read on higgsfield.ai on 8 October 2026, from its pricing page and the charge shown on each Generate button, signed out, in the US. Its features come from its help centre, changelog and Terms, read on 17 September 2026, and each claim links its source. Voyager’s facts come from its published rates and the desktop app. We did not compare output quality: a shared model is the same model on both products. Prices change often, so treat each date as part of the figure.
What is the difference between Voyager and Higgsfield?
Higgsfield is a web app for generating video and images with about a dozen third-party models plus its own, paid for in Higgsfield credits. Voyager is a desktop agent that uses many of the same models and also works in the creative apps on your computer and in its own design, video and music editors, so the result can stay a layered, editable project.
Is Voyager cheaper than Higgsfield?
It depends on the model and the plan. Voyager charges what each model’s provider charges, with no markup, and publishes every rate; Higgsfield sets its own credit price per model. On Nano Banana 2.1, Google’s newest image model, Voyager costs less on every matched plan. With your own keys and agent, the Voyager app itself is free. (Higgsfield pricing, read )
Can I use my Higgsfield plan inside Voyager?
Yes. Sign in with Higgsfield in Voyager’s settings and generations run on your Higgsfield plan’s credits, for the models Higgsfield offers. A paid Higgsfield plan is needed, and Unlimited applies only on Higgsfield’s own website. You can also add a Higgsfield API key, which spends Higgsfield’s separate prepaid API balance.
Does Voyager have the same models as Higgsfield?
Many of them. Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Wan 3.0, Wan 2.7, MiniMax H3 Max and Hailuo 2.3 are on both, and a shared model gives the same quality on either. Higgsfield’s own models, Soul, Popcorn and DoP, are only on Higgsfield. (Higgsfield changelog, read )
Can I use Claude Code or Codex with either?
Yes, in different ways. Higgsfield’s MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT and other clients generate on your Higgsfield account with plan credits. Voyager lets Claude Code or Codex be the agent itself, on your own subscription, at no charge from Voyager. (What is Higgsfield MCP, read )
Is Higgsfield free?
Higgsfield has a free account with no credits, a small set of models, one job at a time and a watermark on every output; generating in earnest needs a paid plan. Voyager is free to download and use with your own agent and model keys. (How Higgsfield plans work, read ; Watermark policy, read )
How do I move from Higgsfield to Voyager?
Download what you want to keep from Higgsfield’s Assets and copy the prompts worth reusing. Plan credits expire each cycle, so spend them before you cancel, or keep the plan and sign in with Higgsfield in Voyager to use it there. (How credits work, read ; How to cancel, read )
Do I have to install Voyager?
Yes. Voyager is a free desktop app for macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon, with Windows 11 and Linux in alpha and mobile apps coming soon. Higgsfield runs in a browser, so it is the better fit if you can’t install software.
