Voyager vs Figma Weave

Figma Weave, formerly Weavy, is a browser canvas where AI models and editing tools connect as nodes into workflows a team can reuse. Voyager is a desktop AI agent that generates with many of the same models, then works in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Blender or its own design, video and music editors, on editable projects.

Choose Voyager if

  • You want an agent to do the work from a brief, rather than building the workflow yourself.
  • The result has to be a project in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender or a DAW.
  • The job needs voice, music or a finished edit, not only images and clips.

Choose Figma Weave if

  • You want to design the pipeline yourself, node by node, and see every step.
  • Your team works in Figma and wants generation beside the design file.
  • You want to turn a workflow into a simple tool for colleagues.

What each one is

A node canvas, or an agent on your computer.

What is Voyager?

Voyager is a desktop app for macOS, with Windows and Linux in alpha. Its agent, or your own Claude Code or Codex, generates with cloud models when a step needs one, then carries on in the software where the project lives, including Voyager’s own Design, Video and DAW editors, so the result stays a layered, editable project.

What is Figma Weave?

Figma Weave, called Weavy until Figma bought it in October 2025, is a browser canvas that puts AI models and editing tools in one node graph: layers, compositing, masks, relighting, upscaling, inpainting and depth. A workflow can become a simple app for a team. It is sold on its own plans, and a set of Weave tools now runs inside Figma Design.

Who does the work

An agent works from a brief. A canvas waits for nodes.

Figma Weave gives you every piece and lets you wire them: a model node into a mask, into a relight, into an upscale. The graph is the product, and for a designer who wants to control each step, or package a pipeline for a team, that is the point. Every step is still yours to build.

Voyager starts from what you want made. You describe the outcome and give feedback; the agent picks the models and the apps and does the steps. That agent can be Voyager’s own, or Claude Code or Codex on the Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already have, at no charge from Voyager.

On Figma Weave

Weave’s app mode turns a finished workflow into a simple interface, so colleagues can run it without seeing the graph. (Figma Weave, read )

Your apps

It works in the apps your projects live in.

Weave’s editing nodes are strong for images, and its tools now reach into Figma Design. Beyond Figma, the work leaves Weave as files. Voyager’s agent operates the creative software on your computer, with your own licences: it builds layers in Photoshop, cuts in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, animates in After Effects and lays out scenes in Blender.

If you don’t own those apps, Voyager’s own Design, Video and DAW editors come with it, free, and export PSD, SVG, Lottie, OTIO, FCPXML, stems and MIDI.

  • Illustrator
  • After Effects
  • Premiere Pro
  • DaVinci Resolve
  • Final Cut Pro
  • Blender
  • Unity
  • Ableton Live
  • + many more
  • Voyager Design

Vector, raster and paint layers, layout, decks with PPTX, and motion graphics with keyframes. Exports PNG, SVG, PDF, PSD, Lottie and ProRes 4444 with alpha.

  • Voyager Video

Timeline, multicam, colour and keys. Hands off to Resolve and Premiere as OTIO, FCPXML or EDL, and delivers H.264, HEVC, ProRes and DNxHR.

  • Voyager DAW

Arranging, instruments, VST3 plug-ins, mixing and mastering to loudness targets, stems and MIDI export, and scoring to picture: cues from a video’s cuts and ducking under voice-over.

You bring your own licences. Live control of the Adobe apps runs on macOS today. Voyager DAW does most of what you would do in Ableton Live or Logic Pro, from arranging and recording to mixing and mastering, and the rest is on the way. It doesn’t have sampled orchestral instruments yet. Trademarks belong to their owners; Voyager isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by them.

On Figma Weave

More than 20 Weave tools, such as style transfer and product shoots, run in Figma Design’s left panel, free during the beta and on Figma AI credits after it. A node that brings Figma frames onto the Weave canvas was announced in June 2026. (Connecting Figma and Weave, read )

Finished work

Sound, an edit and motion, not only images.

Weave’s catalogue is image, video and 3D, and its editing is built for stills. A piece that needs a voiceover, a score, a cut on the beat and animated type goes somewhere else to be finished.

In the recording below, one prompt to Voyager asks for a 45-second original dark synth score for a launch video. The agent writes the parts as code in Voyager DAW, arranges 12 tracks across six sections with tempo ramps and renders stems mastered to -16 LUFS; the motion graphics come from Voyager Design. No generation model was used, and every note and keyframe can still be changed.

One prompt to a finished, editable 12-track score in Voyager DAW: 45 seconds, mastered to -16 LUFS. Recorded in the desktop app, October 2026.

Pricing

Every rate published, at what the provider charges.

How Voyager charges

A credit is 1¢ of what the model’s provider charges, with no markup on any plan, and each model’s rate is published per image, second or minute.

Bring your own fal, Google, ElevenLabs or Higgsfield keys on any plan, or none, and the provider bills you directly.

With your own model keys and your own Claude or ChatGPT, the app costs nothing.

How Figma Weave charges

Weave publishes credits per run as a range for each model, such as 7 to 13 for Nano Banana 2.1 or 60 to 300 for Kling 3 Standard, without the settings behind each end. (Figma Weave models and pricing, read )

Top-ups cost $10 for 1,000 credits on Starter and $10 for 1,200 on Professional and Team, and last 12 months. (Figma Weave pricing, read )

FAQ

How we checked

Figma Weave’s plans, models and features were read on 8 October 2026 from weave.figma.com, its models and pricing page, its Terms and Figma’s blog, signed out, in the US. Each Weave claim links its source; where we say Weave lacks something, it was not listed that day. Weave gives credit costs as ranges, so this page makes no per-generation price comparison. Voyager’s facts come from its published rates and the desktop app.

Is Weavy now Figma Weave?

Yes. Figma acquired Weavy and announced on 30 October 2025 that it would become Figma Weave. weavy.ai now redirects to weave.figma.com, and Weave is still sold on its own plans, separate from Figma’s. (Welcome Weavy to Figma, read ; Figma Weave pricing, read )

What is the difference between Voyager and Figma Weave?

Figma Weave is a browser canvas where you build AI image and video workflows from model and editing nodes. Voyager is a desktop agent that does the work from a brief, with many of the same models, in the creative apps on your computer and its own design, video and music editors. (Figma Weave, read )

Is Voyager cheaper than Figma Weave?

It can’t be said cleanly. Weave lists a credit range per model rather than a cost per setting, so no generation can be priced like for like. Voyager publishes each model’s rate at what the provider charges, with no markup, and is free with your own keys. (Figma Weave models and pricing, read )

Does a Figma plan include Weave?

No. Figma Weave has its own Free, Starter, Professional, Team and Enterprise plans. The Weave tools inside Figma Design are free during their beta and will then use Figma AI credits. (Figma Weave pricing, read ; Connecting Figma and Weave, read )

Can I use Claude Code or Codex with Figma Weave?

No MCP server or agent integration was listed on 8 October 2026; Weave’s API is on Enterprise. In Voyager, Claude Code or Codex is the agent itself, on your own subscription, at no charge from Voyager. (Figma Weave pricing, read )

Can I use Figma Weave output commercially?

Yes. Weave includes a commercial licence on every plan, including Free, and its Terms say you own your output. On Voyager you own what you make, subject to each model provider’s terms. (Figma Weave pricing, read ; Figma Weave Terms of Service, read )

Do I have to install Voyager?

Yes. Voyager is a free desktop app for macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon, with Windows 11 and Linux in alpha and mobile apps coming soon. Figma Weave runs in a browser.
