Seedance 2.0 Mini vs Seedance 2.0
Both ran the same nine prompts on fal at 720p, five seconds, 16:9 and audio on: Seedance 2.0 on 9 September 2026 and Mini on 22 October. Both are billed per token, and both of our sets came back at 1280 by 720, so the costs compare directly.

Which to use
Mini is the cheaper way to get Seedance's type and people, not its product fidelity. At $0.007 per 1,000 tokens it is half Seedance 2.0's rate: $0.756 a five-second clip against $1.52. On our prompts it kept what Seedance does best, a title card spelled correctly with the date as a smaller second line and a natural speaking woman, and its pour, harbour and market held up. Where it slipped was the product. Seedance 2.0 kept our photographed dripper exactly in image-to-video; Mini grew it a handle halfway through, and did the same to the turntable dripper. It was also slower in our batch, 147 to 458 seconds a clip against 2.0's 88 to 148, though fal calls Mini the faster version. Mini stops at 720p; 2.0 goes to 1080p and 4K. One run per prompt is a first look, not a ranking.
