Recraft V4.1 Flash

Recraft V4.1 Flash is the fast, low-cost tier of Recraft's V4.1 model, released in September 2026. It makes 1K raster images only: Recraft's docs list no vector or Pro variant for it, and no styles, style references, negative prompt, text layout or image input, so there is nothing to edit with. What it keeps from V4.1 is the colour controls, a palette and a background colour. Recraft calls it its fastest and cheapest API model, at about 1.3 seconds an image, with quality close to V4.1. On fal it costs $0.007 an image.

Anvisha's take

For seven tenths of a cent, Flash still has Recraft's taste. The poster is a real risograph design, all three lines correct, and the logo is a minimal mark with a clean wordmark. The woodblock print, with its engraved waves and teal bokashi sky, is one of the more convincing on the roster, and the five-object composition came out right, which V4.1 itself missed. Its failures are about following instructions: the wide banner filled its empty left half with nonsense headline text ('Waciefpnsdsatwetore'), the chart's axis is just the data values stacked up and every bar climbs, so April outranks March, and the infographic invented a wrong first step and a footnote. Speed was not what Recraft advertises through fal: four pictures took 2 to 5 seconds, the rest 10 to 21. Use it for cheap design exploration, not for anything that has to say exactly what you wrote.

What we noticed running Recraft V4.1 Flash

  • •The left half is filled with nonsense placeholder copy, a headline reading 'Waciefpnsdsatwetore' and three lines of gibberish. The 21:9 request came back at 1536 by 768, 2:1. See the wide aspect ratio picture.
  • •The axis is the data values themselves (120, 150, 180, 220, 260) at even spacing, there are no bar labels, and every bar is taller than the one before, so April outranks March. See the chart picture.
  • •All three lines correct in a two-colour risograph layout with an eye and four circles; 'Tickets at the door' is set small in the corner. See the text in an image picture.
  • •Four headings exact with an icon each, plus invented sub-lines, one of them wrong ('Wet the grounds with water' under rinsing the filter), and a footnote nobody asked for. See the infographic with steps picture.
  • •Book left, apple right, three round ice cubes and the pencil across the rim. V4.1 stood the pencil in the glass on the same prompt. See the hard composition picture.
  • •Engraved waves, cross-hatched cliffs and a teal bokashi band: closer to a print than V4.1's black-and-white linocut. See the specific art style picture.
  • •A minimal half-wheel with a spoke and a link, and a clean 'Spoke & Chain' wordmark with no tagline. See the logo mark picture.
  • •Striped awnings, bunting, tote bags, oranges and a seated busker with a guitar, but no dog that we could find. See the busy scene picture.
  • •A ribbed cone on a base with a pouring lip it was not asked for, and no handle. See the product on white picture.
  • •The self-portrait printed 'Recraft V4.1 Flash' under the illustration as a caption.

What Recraft V4.1 Flash will not draw

Recraft's terms bar content that exploits children, non-consensual intimate imagery and deepfakes of real people, impersonation, election deception involving real people, and promoting terrorism or violence against protected groups. For design work, two rules matter: free-plan images belong to Recraft and are for personal use only, and no generated asset may be used to train AI models. Recraft trains on your inputs and outputs by default unless you opt out in your profile.
