Which to use

Prime is standard Wan 3.0 delivered sooner, and on our prompts it looked the same. Its clips came back in 84 to 103 seconds against 128 to 194, it costs $0.14 a second at 720p against $0.10, and the clips share Wan's strengths: a dripper that keeps its shape on the turntable, a pour with both hands and every prop, a dense market, a proper woodblock storm and a lantern self-portrait that rises over the city in one move. They also share the failure: fal's content checker refused the festival title card on both. The differences are small and go both ways. Prime's spill gains ice cubes where standard Wan's stayed cube-sized and in number, and in image-to-video standard Wan poured cleanly into the dripper while Prime filled it from inside like a cup. Pay the extra 40% only when the wait matters. One run per prompt is a first look, not a ranking.

Frequently asked questions

How much faster is Wan 3.0 Prime?

On our prompts, 84 to 103 seconds a five-second 720p clip against 128 to 194 for standard Wan 3.0, in batches six weeks apart. Queue time is included.

Does Prime look worse?

Not in our run. The clips are hard to tell apart; Prime's spill gained ice cubes and its image-to-video filled the dripper from inside, where standard Wan poured into it.
