Bria FIBO 2.0
FIBO 2.0 is the second generation of Bria's FIBO image models, unifying generation and editing in one 8 billion parameter flow-matching model. Bria, which sells to enterprises, says it is trained only on licensed data. Every prompt is first expanded into a structured scene description in Bria's Visual Generation Language (VGL), a JSON document of subjects, composition, lighting and style that the API returns and that you can edit and send back to change one thing at a time. It renders at about one megapixel in 21 aspect ratios. The weights are published for non-commercial use under CC BY-NC 4.0; commercial use needs Bria's API, a host such as fal, or a licence. We could not find a dated release announcement.

›What we asked for
A self-portrait of Bria FIBO 2.0, an image model that plans each picture as a structured scene description before rendering it: an architect's drafting table seen from above, a translucent tracing-paper sketch of a sunlit room laid over the finished colour photograph of the same room, pencils and a scale ruler beside it, soft daylight.

At a glance
- Price
- $0.04 an image on fal, generation or edit.
- Sizes
- About one megapixel at 21 named aspect ratios from 1:5 to 5:1, all four of ours included: 1024 square, 864 by 1152, 1152 by 864 and 1568 by 672.
- Structured prompts
- Your prompt is expanded into a VGL JSON scene description, returned with the image. Send it back with a short change to refine one aspect, or send VGL alone to render it as written.
- Licensed training data
- Bria says FIBO 2.0 is trained only on licensed data, curated from its own dataset of about a billion images.
- Weights
- Dev and Edit Turbo checkpoints on Hugging Face under CC BY-NC 4.0, non-commercial only; commercial use goes through Bria.
Anvisha's take
FIBO 2.0 is the most literal model in this batch, in a good way. The infographic is the four steps, an icon each, and nothing else, the poster is the three lines and nothing else, and the logo is a spoked wheel with a chain link and a clean wordmark, no tagline. The edit is as good as any on the roster: the dripper turned green, a brass handle appeared on the right, and the frame, the rings on the cone and the hole in the base are where they were. It lost marks on the chart, where six steadily rising bars have no labels and run off their own 300 axis, on the ice count, four cubes for three, and on the woodblock print, which came signed with a column of characters and seals. The structured prompt is the reason to choose it over cheaper models: Bria's pitch is that you change one field of the returned VGL, the lighting say, and the rest of the scene holds. We did not test that here. At four cents it is not cheap, but the training-data story is one some legal teams will pay for.

What we noticed running Bria FIBO 2.0
- •Green with a brass handle on the right, and the framing, the rings on the cone and the hole in the base unchanged. See the edit an existing image picture.
- •Title and four steps word for word, a line icon each, on a card, with nothing invented. See the infographic with steps picture.
- •All three lines correct and nothing added: a two-colour circle-and-triangle layout with the title in large shadowed type. See the text in an image picture.
- •No value labels, months shortened to Jan to Jun, and six bars that each rise past the last, April above March and June above the 300 line, on an axis that stops at 300. See the chart picture.
- •Book left, apple right, pencil across the rim, but four ice cubes in the glass. See the hard composition picture.
- •A committed print, but signed: a cartouche of characters at the top right and seals at the bottom, and the lighthouse drawn as a pagoda-like tower. See the specific art style picture.
- •A spoked wheel with a chain link at the hub and a clean wordmark, single colour, no tagline. See the logo mark picture.
- •Striped tents, bunting, oranges in crates, a standing busker with a guitar and one golden retriever on a lead. See the busy scene picture.
- •The self-portrait wrote 'Bria FIBO 2.0' in the corner of the photograph.
- •9 to 21 seconds a picture through fal, median about 17. Bria reports under 2 seconds for the model on its own API; fal notes it has not verified that.

What Bria FIBO 2.0 will not draw
Bria's pitch is legal safety: it says FIBO 2.0 is trained only on licensed data with clear commercial rights, and fal's FAQ answers yes to whether it is safe for commercial use. That is Bria's claim, not an independent audit. fal's endpoint exposes no safety-checker setting.

Frequently asked questions
What is Bria FIBO 2.0?
Bria's second-generation FIBO image model, an 8 billion parameter model for generation and editing that Bria says is trained only on licensed data. It turns each prompt into a structured JSON scene description you can edit.
How much does FIBO 2.0 cost?
$0.04 an image on fal, generation or edit, read on 22 October 2026.
Can I use FIBO 2.0 commercially?
Through Bria's API or a host like fal, yes; fal and Bria both say so. The downloadable weights are CC BY-NC 4.0, non-commercial, unless you have an agreement with Bria.
What is VGL?
Bria's Visual Generation Language: a JSON description of a scene's subjects, composition, lighting and style. FIBO 2.0 writes one from your prompt and returns it, and Bria says you can edit it to change one aspect of the image without the rest drifting.
How this page is made
Prices, limits and settings are read from the linked vendor and host pages on the dates shown. Every picture was generated by us through fal with the request shown under it, and the original files are kept unedited. A generation that failed is shown as a failure. Model and vendor names are used to identify the products; no vendor imagery appears on this page.
